Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information ECU Maps processes, why we process it, and the choices available to you.
Last updated: August 4, 2026
Information we collect
We collect account information such as your email address, authentication and session data, purchase and credit records, support messages, and technical information needed to keep the service secure. When you use an analysis feature, we process the firmware files you submit and the results produced from them.
How we use information
- Provide, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot ECU Maps.
- Process firmware analyses and generate reports and WinOLS-compatible exports.
- Manage accounts, credits, purchases, refunds, and customer support.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and violations of our Terms of Use.
- Meet legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations.
Firmware and analysis data
Submitted firmware is processed to provide the requested service. Customer uploads are not made public or used as training-dataset source material. Original uploads remain associated with the analysis record and are removed when that record is deleted. Generated results are generally retained for 30 days unless deletion is requested sooner or longer retention is legally required.
Service providers and disclosures
We may share only the information necessary with service providers that support hosting, security, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, and analysis infrastructure. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer. We do not sell personal information.
Cookies and security
We use essential cookies or similar technologies for authentication, session continuity, preferences, security, and abuse prevention. We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may close your account from account settings or submit a request through the Contact page. We may retain limited billing, security, or legal records where required.
International processing and children
Service providers may process data in countries other than your own, subject to appropriate safeguards where required. ECU Maps is intended for adults and professional users and is not directed to children.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. The updated date above shows the latest revision. Questions or privacy requests can be submitted through the ECU Maps Contact page.
