Satisfaction refund

If you are dissatisfied with a paid ECU Maps purchase, you may request a refund through the Contact page. Tell us which purchase is involved and briefly explain the issue so we can locate the transaction and improve the service. We will review the request promptly and, when approved, return the eligible amount to the original payment method.

Unfounded requests and payment fees

If, after review, a refund request is not supported by a service defect, billing error, or another valid basis, we may still approve a discretionary goodwill refund. Where permitted by applicable law, that refund will equal the amount paid minus the PayPal processing fees that PayPal does not return to us. We will disclose the proposed deduction before processing the refund. No fee deduction applies where a full refund is required by applicable consumer law.

Automatic credit returns

A credit reserved for an analysis is automatically returned when the file is unsupported or an internal processing failure prevents a successful result. This is a credit reversal, not a cash refund, and normally requires no request from you.

Processing

Approved refunds are submitted to the original payment method. Your bank or payment provider controls how long the funds take to appear. Any mandatory refund or withdrawal rights available under applicable consumer law remain unaffected by this policy.

Fraudulent or abusive requests

A legitimate refund request will not, by itself, cause account termination. However, knowingly false claims, repeated abuse of the refund process, payment fraud, or unjustified chargebacks after receiving the service may result in limits, suspension, or termination after review. We may preserve transaction and security records and contest abusive claims with the payment provider.

Contact

Submit refund requests through the ECU Maps Contact page using the email address associated with your account. Include enough information to identify the purchase, but never send passwords or full payment-card details.
